° ° ° MINI SIZE NUTRITION ° ° °
Small breed dogs, although sometimes sophisticated-looking, are generally rather resilient and have a
long life expectancy. On average they live for about fifteen years and can sometimes reach 20 years of
age. They are very active, playful and require a lot of energy (for them, 100 metres covered represents
three times more steps than for a man).
The MINI nutritional programme is suited to the physiological requirements of small breed dogs throughout
their lives and according to their activities. With easy to crunch small kibbles, the MINI range has been
specially designed (size, shape and texture) to perfectly match the small teeth and jaws of small breed
puppies and dogs.
JUNIOR
from 2 to 10 months
Very fast growth forces the dog's system to supply, at very short notice, the proteins, carbohydrates and fat required for bone and muscle development. Highly digestible, Mini Junior is rich in energy.
Mini Junior contains fructo-oligosaccharides (fibre) for the balance od the intestinal flora. With a low starch content, Mini Junior prevents digestive disorders and contains a calcium level necessary for proper skeletal development.
Mini Junior reduces the risk of obesity.
ADULT
under 8 years
Having a very long life expectancy, small breed dogs require a special diet right now. Mini Adult offers an early supply of vitamins C and E to prepare the adult dog for a long life expectancy and contains L-carnitine for an efficient use of fat, thus limiting the risks of obesity.
Mini Adult has very palatable kibbles that ensures your dog remains at his ideal weight amd promotes a long healthy life, whatever his physical energy expenditure.
MATURE
over 8 years
Halfway through a small breed dog's life is the time when digestive and heart disorders may appear, the skin loses some of its suppleness and the coat some of its gloss. The increased supply of vitamins C and E along with grape polyphenols in Mini Mature help to fight against cell ageing while borage oil promotes a glossy coat and supple skin.
A reduced sodium level and increased potassium level make it easier for the heart to work and a greatly reduced phosphorus content contributes to the proper functioning of the renal system in mature dogs.

MINI BREED INFORMATION
- REGULARLY CHECK YOUR DOG'S WEIGHT
- Small breed dogs are very prone to put on excess weight (25g of cheddar cheese = 1/3 of his daily energy requirements). This is why it is important to weigh your dog regularly. To do so, weigh yourself alone, then with your dog in your arms: the difference will give you your dog's weight.
- BEWARE OF THE COLD
- Small breed dogs are always very active and use huge amounts of calories. In the biting cold, a dog coat will maintain your dog's normal temperature.
- IMPORTANCE OF PROPER SOCIALIZATION
- Small breed dogs often accompany their owners as they move around. They must be trained so as to respect man, other animals and the environment.
- DIGESTIVE SENSITIVITY
- Small breed dogs require highly digestible food to prevent any risk of soft stools or diarrhoea which may be detrimental to your dog's wellbeing. Always provide him with a food suitable for small breed dogs.
- FUSSY APETITE
- Small breed dogs are sometimes reluctant to eat. In this case, re-hydrate the food with water or possibly some stock. It is not necessary to change his meals - your dog doesn't ask for variety. Don't give in to his whims and everything will go back to normal. Choose a food with a very high palatability specifically for small dogs and he will appreciate his meals every day.
